The John U Parolo Trust has pledged $3.1 million to the Via Christi Mount Carmel Foundation. The grant will be used for associate scholarships, physician loan reimbursement, medical staff leadership education and continuing education for staff in multiple areas across the hospital. The Trust is dedicated to impacting individuals who will be serving the SEK community throughout their careers in healthcare. John U. Parolo Trust has pledged $2 million to Pittsburg State University Nursing School over the course of 5 years. The donation will help build a 5,000 square foot simulation hospital next to McPherson Hall, adjacent to the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing. In addition, targeted renovations to the existing building will take place, allowing the space to accommodate 120 students.
